District Team Cross Country Champions 2026!

Wow - What. A. Team!!

Eight teams from St. Bede’s consisting of 41 children became South Tyneside Team Cross Country Champions today!

It was wonderful to have so many boys and girls representing our school in a single event. Our children showed incredible energy to support their friends and amazing consistency of high-level performances from Year 3 right through to Year 6.

Our young athletes have shown great dedication to train for the competition, superbly supported by their families. Everyone strived for personal best performances on the day. We had individual District Champions, multiple podium finishers and many year group team champions; ultimately everyone contributed so much to our collective team.

There were many excellent ‘sporty schools’ at the event, so our children should be very proud to be the overall top team on the day.

Personally, I was so proud of how everyone supported each other and the great parental support at Temple Park. When we genuinely support each other, it can take you a long way together.
