We have had an exciting and inspiring start to Careers Week here at school!
To kick things off, the children arrived dressed as what they would like to be when they grow up. From vets and police officers to athletes and artists, the variety of ambitions on display was incredible. The effort the children put into their costumes was truly fantastic, and it created a wonderful buzz of excitement across the school. It was wonderful to see so many of our pupils already thinking about their future goals and aspirations.
The excitement continued as we hosted our very own Careers Fair. We were incredibly fortunate to be supported by a group of dedicated and enthusiastic parent volunteers who generously gave their time to speak to the children about their careers. The range of professions shared was fantastic and included a dentist, doctor, author, Nexus representative, National Grid worker, dog groomer, languages teacher, engineer, firefighter and a Connexions manager. This variety gave the children a real insight into the many different paths they could take in the future.
A huge thank you goes to:
Mrs Saltissi, Mr Palmer, Mr Mansfield, Mrs Wilson, Mrs Cain, Mrs Condon, Mrs Watson, Mrs Willis (and Earl), Mrs Lewthwaite and Mr Kirkbride. Without your support, this event simply would not have been possible.
The children were inspired by the wide range of careers shared with them and asked thoughtful questions, showing great curiosity and enthusiasm. The experience has encouraged them to begin thinking about their own next steps and future career goals.
We are so proud of the engagement and excitement shown so far - what a fantastic and inspiring start to Careers Week it has been!
