The Y3/4 skippers returned from the Walker Dome in Newcastle with a ‘silver lining’ after scooping second in the County Final. The children achieved lots of individual accolades and particularly excelled in the team events; winning four out of a possible five team golds.
Despite being ‘pipped’ to first place, we learned that we became only the fourth school in the 10 year history of the event to break the 1000 points barrier (1032 points) in a competition. It was also the first time two schools had achieved the feat on the same day, such was the standard of the competition.
Congratulations to our brilliant skippers and thank you to the family members who came to support us in Newcastle!
